DEMO — not live. No real money, no real draws. Made-up schools and people.

A school prize draw with a free way in

This prototype shows how a monthly school prize draw could work when entering free and supporting the school sit side by side, with the same chance either way. Each school’s parent council runs its own draw; SchoolDraw only supplies the software.

Support your school with £5 a month, or enter free: every entry has the same chance.

It is a demo. No real money is taken, no real draws are run, and every school and person in it is made up.

Suggested tour (10 steps)

Each step’s page shows “Tour: step N of 10 · Next →” in the demo banner, so you can carry on from there.

  1. Open Glenvarlie Primary and press “Enter free”. The confirmation email and your entry number appear in the Outbox.
  2. Choose to support the school instead: pre-contract information, where each £5 goes, a test-mode checkout and a receipt. Enter free is always beside it, the same size.
  3. Manage an entry: open your link from the Outbox, or try a sample entrant (on a break, a £0 limit, a supporter). Switch to free, set a limit, take a break, or cancel in one step.
  4. Check last month’s result (winners by entry number), then press “Re-run this draw in my browser”.
  5. School office, Postal entries: press “Fill in a late-logged letter”, then log it. It was received before last month’s cut-off, so it is flagged and recorded in the evidence pack.
  6. Prizes: use the helper to set next month’s prizes from last month’s paid total. Prizes must be set before the 1st, or that month’s draw doesn’t run.
  7. Draw: skip ahead to closing time, then to draw time, then run the draw. The demo clock moves for all three schools.
  8. Evidence pack for last month, including the letter that was logged late.
  9. Publicity: make an A4 poster with both ways to enter locked in at the same size, and print it.
  10. Switch to SchoolDraw operator: Lochtorran’s fee flag, the invoices, and onboarding a fourth school.

Only in this demo. The real product has no list of schools for parents (report 7.1 item 9), and this list is switched off for any build that carries forward.

What is simulated

  • Payments: test mode, no money is taken. No card or bank details are ever asked for.
  • Emails: they appear in the Outbox (top of the page). Nothing is sent.
  • Age checks: worked out from the date of birth you type (postcode ZZ0 0ZZ asks the school for a manual check). No real check is made.
  • Merchant accounts: each school has a pretend account in its own name.
  • The clock: the draw screens can skip ahead in time (for all three schools at once) so you can see a draw close and run. Draw dates themselves never move.

Your changes are kept in this browser only. Use Reset demo in the banner to start again.
